Free Community Events
If you're hosting something free for the community (meetups, book clubs, etc.) we can often offer the space completely free.
Guests simply purchase drinks or food while attending.

What qualifies as a community workshop?
Community workshops are public, community-focused events such as:
• Art classes

These events should be open to the public and aligned with our community-focused atmosphere.
What is the pricing structure?
For ticketed community workshops:
• 75% goes to the workshop host
• 25% goes to San Fran Coffee
There is no rental fee for qualifying community workshops.
Can I host a private event under the community program?
No.
Private events such as:
• Birthday parties
• Showers
• Corporate events
• Private gatherings
fall under our Private Event Rental options and require a rental fee.
This helps us keep community programming accessible and sustainable.
Can I host a free event?
Yes!
Free community events are welcome. Guests are simply encouraged to purchase drinks or food while attending.

How long do workshops typically run?
Most workshops run 60–120 minutes, depending on format and setup needs.

How far in advance should I submit?
We recommend 2-4 weeks in advance for best scheduling and promotion. Also, if you'd like to be included in our monthly event newsletter we'd need to know before the first of each month.
How are events approved?
We review events based on:
• Community fit
• Space availability
• Operational feasibility
• Audience alignment
